Anna Rusch Writes Prize-Winning Ethhics Essay

Winners of the Augustana Center for the Study of Ethics 2012 Ethics Essay Contest were recently announced.

Anna Rusch, a sophomore from Davenport, Iowa, earned first place with an essay titled "Exploring Another Abortion Option: Are You for RU-486?" Rusch is a business administration-advising major at Augustana College

According to Dr. Dan Lee, professor of religion and director of the Center for the Study of Ethics, 20 essays were submitted for consideration. Essays were judged anonymously, and judging was conducted by faculty of another college.

The Augustana Center for the Study of Ethics was established to enrich the teaching-learning experiences for Augustana students by providing greater opportunities for them to meet and interact with community leaders and to encourage discussions of issues of ethical significance through campus programs and community outreach.
