Augustana Observer wins numerous awards at state convention

The staff members of Augustana College's student newspaper, Augustana Observer, won 18 awards at the Illinois College Press Association convention, including first place for general excellence among non-daily newspapers.
The awards ranged in areas from "Sports Feature Story" to "In-depth Reporting" among others; displaying the wide range of talents that this team has.
Among the award winners was Shylee Garrett from Vernon Hills.
