Augustana Observer wins numerous awards at state convention

The staff members of Augustana College's student newspaper, Augustana Observer, won 18 awards at the Illinois College Press Association convention, including first place for general excellence among non-daily newspapers.

Among the award winners was Shylee Garrett from Vernon Hills who won second place, column excluding sports; third place, feature page design.
